The customer’s pool sat right next to the neighbour’s yard. They wanted the view blocked. But they didn’t want a boring fence. They wanted a fence they’d be happy to show off, not one they’d try to hide.

That sketch is what we started with. The shape was clear. The sizes were not. No batten spacing. No base plate dimensions. No curve radius. Our job was to fill in the numbers and turn the sketch into real drawings. Drawings the metal merchant and the welder could both build from.

The plan was simple. A curved screen at the end of the pool, where the neighbours could see in. Standard straight panels along the rest of the pool. Same battens, same base plates, same finish. The only thing left to decide was the shape of the curve.

The customer didn’t have to pick the first option. They wanted to see a tighter curve. Then a longer straight bit before the curve. Then a wider, softer curve.

The old way of doing this is three drafting sessions. Three invoices. Two or three days of waiting. The new way is three quick changes to the same form. Three drawings on the screen. Same morning.

They picked Option C, the wide curve with a 2000 radius. From sketch to final design in under an hour.

Both fences use the same simple form. Type in your sizes. Hit generate. You get a full A4 drawing pack with the dimensions on every sheet. The curved version has four extra boxes for the curve shape.

The cutting list comes out at the same time as the drawings. So does the total weight and the material cost. No second tool needed. No measuring and adding by hand. By the time the drawings finished printing, the metal order was already on its way to the merchant.

No late nights drafting. No drafter to pay. No two days of waiting on revisions. The shop quoted right off the drawings. They ordered the metal that morning. They were cutting it the next day. The next custom job will go the same way.
