Glass Balustrade Run | Fabrication Drawings
A straight run of frameless toughened-glass balustrade panels between two walls or returns: equal panes sized from an overall run length, a maximum pane width and the gap between panes, held by stainless spigots, one continuous base channel, shared semi-frameless posts, or face-fixed to the slab edge on stainless standoff pins. The optional interlinking handrail runs continuously over every pane. Complies with AS 1288 / NCC balustrade requirements (minimum 1000 mm above finished floor level to the top of the barrier, 865 mm above stair nosings). This is a fabrication drawing - installed-barrier compliance must be verified by a licensed building surveyor in your jurisdiction. Glass to AS/NZS 2208 (Grade A toughened safety glass).
Configure Glass Balustrade Run dimensions and download professional A4 PDF fabrication drawings with orthographic views and dimension lines. No CAD software needed. Sub-millimetre precision from a true 3D solid model.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I get in the drawing pack?
Each drawing pack is an A4 PDF with orthographic views (front elevation, side elevation, top view, and isometric), full dimension lines, extension lines, and a professional title block. You also get a live 3D preview in the browser and optional STEP file export for CAD software.
Can I use this drawing for fabrication?
Yes. Dimensions are computed to sub-millimetre precision from a true 3D solid model, not approximated from a template. Print the PDF at actual size, hand it to your fabricator, and build from it. Change any input and the entire drawing regenerates in about 60 seconds.
How long does it take to generate a Glass Balustrade Run drawing?
Around 60 seconds end-to-end. Geometry computation runs server-side in a CadQuery process with a 30-second per-request timeout; PDF rendering and download account for the rest. If you change a dimension, regeneration takes the same ~60 seconds — there is no manual redrafting step.
Can I save and reload my dimensions for the Glass Balustrade Run?
Yes. The free Explorer tier keeps 1 saved drawing, so you always have somewhere to land between visits. Fabricator saves every drawing you make and reloads the configurator in one click, so you can revise a quote, regenerate a clean PDF, or branch a design for a similar customer without re-typing dimensions.

Geometry built with CadQuery on the OCCT (OpenCascade Technology) kernel — the same geometry foundation used in FreeCAD and a number of commercial CAD packages. Drawings are orthographic projections of the computed 3D solid; no view is sketched or scaled from a template.
