Louvred gate

A gate filled with angled overlapping horizontal slats (louvres) that block the line of sight while letting airflow through.

A louvred gate runs angled slats, typically aluminium extrusions set at 30 to 45 degrees, where each slat overlaps the one below. Looking straight on, the openings appear closed. Looking up or down through the louvres, you can see through and air can move.

Louvred gates do well around pools, equipment enclosures, and any street frontage where ventilation matters (plant rooms, switchboards, air-conditioning compounds). Common louvre profiles in Australia are 65x16 mm and 105x16 mm aluminium. A 30 degree angle gives tight privacy. 45 degrees gives more airflow at the cost of being able to peek through.

CAD60's louvred gate models take louvre angle, profile, spacing, and overhang as inputs, then regenerate the full orthographic drawing including the angled section view.
