Pedestrian gate

A single-leaf gate sized for foot traffic. Standard residential widths in Australia are 900, 1000, or 1100 mm. Heights run 1200 to 2100 mm.

A pedestrian gate (sometimes called a man gate) is a single leaf you walk through. Standard residential widths in Australia are 900 mm, 1000 mm, and 1100 mm. Heights run 1200 to 2100 mm depending on use: 1200 mm for pool compliance under AS1926.1, 1800 mm for general access, 2100 mm for security or rear-access lanes.

Disability access under AS1428.1 needs a clear opening of at least 850 mm. Frame stiles eat 50 to 80 mm, so a 950 mm leaf gives you a tight 850 mm clear. Round up to 1000 mm to keep margin. Industrial sites often run 1200 to 1500 mm gates so a trolley or wheelbarrow can fit.

CAD60's pedestrian-gate models take any width and height in the supported range and regenerate the drawing pack, including hinge and latch positions, batten or slat layout, and every dimension line.
