Side panel

A fixed (non-opening) panel adjacent to a gate, used to fill the remainder of an opening that is wider than the gate leaf.

A side panel matches a gate's infill (battens, slats, louvres) and frame profile so the combined assembly reads as one continuous run, but it doesn't move. Side panels are bolted to gate posts, intermediate posts, or the wall.

Use cases: a 1500 mm pedestrian opening with a 900 mm gate leaf and a 600 mm fixed side panel; a 4000 mm driveway with a 3000 mm sliding gate and a 1000 mm side panel covering the receive-side post pocket.

CAD60's side-panel models share the construction logic of their gate counterparts (same battens, same posts, same finishes) and produce drawings to match.
